EVOLVE is a Horizon 2020 Innovation Action with 19 leading technology and use case partners from all across Europe. It will introduce important elements of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Cloud-Based Big Data, taking advantage of recent technological advancements to manage unprecedented data growth. The result will be a large-scale test bed to host massive data sets from selected applications areas that are particularly demanding in terms of complexity and computational requirements.

Role of webLyzard technology

Building on the algorithms and methods developed in the FP7 Project ASAP, webLyzard will provide novel visual tools to make sense of these massive data sets collected in the seven pilot domains. The provision of enriched streams of unstructured online content (including news media articles, government and company web sites as well as user-generated content from social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube) will shed light on the public debate in the use case domains targeted by the EVOLVE project. Based on the extracted metadata, novel impact metrics and opinion leader statistics will be computed. These metrics will not only be an integral part of the use cases, but also yield valuable insights to support stakeholder engagement and guide the project’s dissemination activities.
